This is a first shear lamb fleece. It’s short stapled, has a moderate amount of VM and dirt – it’s a meat sheep, give them some leeway. Because the crimp is great and it’s the softest southdown will ever be. This cleans up very nicely and makes amazing, hard wearing woolen yarns that don’t felt, maintain stitch definition and warmth and loft.
Average staple 2-2.5″
